I'm over 40 and rebuilding my life after a deep personal and financial crisis. The Online Beggar is my way of turning pain into purpose — one story, one step at a time.

In the end, the situation took a devastating turn. My uncle managed to see his eldest granddaughter, but the youngest wasn’t allowed to enter the room.

My cousin’s wife, along with their children, had already departed to return to their city, unaware of what was about to happen. Shortly after they left, we received the heartbreaking news that my uncle had been intubated.

By the time they reached home, late at night, another devastating message arrived: my uncle’s condition had worsened. Just a few hours later, he passed away. The 24th of November will forever remain a day of profound sadness for our family.

I still can’t believe it. This is a deeply sorrowful time for all of us, and my cousin now faces new challenges in a drastically changed family landscape.

The funeral was a heart-wrenching moment. My cousin’s wife and children had to make yet another long journey, this time by train, to say their final goodbyes. Now, nothing feels the same. There is a pervasive sense of emptiness and a weight of new difficulties that we must confront together.

I still can’t come to terms with his loss. I had been encouraging my cousin, genuinely believing that my uncle could recover. Now, I feel terrible, as though I had somehow given him false hope or misled him with my optimism. It’s a crushing feeling, and I can’t shake the guilt.

I’m doing everything I can to support my cousin, but the pain is still overwhelming. There is so much more I could share, but right now, I simply don’t have the strength. I feel broken, and it still doesn’t seem real that my uncle is no longer with us.
