I'm over 40 and rebuilding my life after a deep personal and financial crisis. The Online Beggar is my way of turning pain into purpose — one story, one step at a time.

The holidays are finally over, bringing their usual mix of monotony and introspection. The days felt identical, with little to no interaction with peers, spent mostly at home trying to find a reason to get up each morning—a spark of energy to continue working on what matters to me.

The few moments spent with family only highlighted the emotional distance I feel during these times. Hypocrisy and insincerity dominated the gatherings: there’s always that one relative who insists on being right about everything, acting as if they know best.

Then there’s his daughter, who, perhaps like me, is struggling with her own issues but expresses it differently—through immature behaviors that often make everyone uncomfortable.

During the final holiday meal, these tensions boiled over, creating a scene filled with awkwardness and unease. It wasn’t a celebration of shared joy but a social obligation steeped in discomfort. I endured it all for my parents, knowing how much they value these traditions.

Now that the holidays are behind me, I can finally refocus on myself and my project, The Online Beggar. While the future remains uncertain, I hold on to the hope that this initiative will either help me resolve my challenges or at least provide the strength I need to explore new paths.

The holidays are over, but my determination to rebuild remains strong. This is the moment to look ahead, to channel my energy into what truly matters, and to believe that, step by step, I can create something meaningful—for myself and for those who choose to support me.
